Digital Content Intern (Los Angeles, Remote)
The Founder Hour (TFH) podcast is seeking a self-starting, ambitious candidate for an unpaid internship that requires 5-6 hours per week for a 3-month minimum commitment. Our lean team is looking to bring on an independent intern to help TFH reach new heights with its content and social presence.
Interns will directly work with TFH co-hosts Nerses Aposhian and Patrick Tanahan on creating content for social media, the TFH website, TFH newsletter, and other key platforms for the podcast.
Qualifications
This unpaid internship is 5-6 hours per week, working PST hours. It is a minimum 3-month long commitment with the potential for extension, still as an unpaid position, but the potential opportunity for incentive pay.
Ideal candidates will currently be pursuing a B.A/B.S. with college coursework in journalism, creative writing, public relations, English, communications, rhetoric, or related fields.
Fundamental copywriting, research, communications, social media content development/coordination, and critical-thinking skills.
Prior internship experience in communications or social media preferred
Extensive experience in using Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp & blog writing
Ability to work independently and considers themself a self-starter. "Ask for forgiveness, not permission" is our motto!
Demonstrates the ability to multitask and thrive with ambitious individuals
A positive attitude and willingness to learn!
Preferred (but not required) skills: Photoshop & Substack. A plus if the candidate understands marketing and audience acquisition.
